As the club approaches the 2024/25 season we are excited to announce plans for the academy for the coming season along with a new name “Hartland Girls Academy”, kit and branding. The revamped brand mirrors our bold leap towards establishing a unique stance in girls’ football.

We want to celebrate the commitment of our players and build upon the success of our teams as JPL National Cup, Premier league champions and two-time Hampshire Cup winners by working hard to attract more players and expand the club. This year we are adding U14 and U18 teams.

Our facilities, league memberships, and the heart of our academy – our talented footballers and committed coaches and staff – will continue into the new season. What will evolve, however, is our brand, governance new structure, and our transparency pledge, all in alignment with our mission to bridge grassroots to professional game academies.

A development we’re pleased to introduce is the decentralisation of our committee structure, embodying our commitment to inclusivity and community participation. By integrating a parent representative from each team into our committee on an annual basis, we are ensuring that our paths forward are carved through the collective voice and vision of our entire academy family.

Along with our growth we are investing in new technology with the help of our sponsors. Veo cameras will be used to record home games. The cameras and software will allow coaches and players to review game footage from and use it to improve skills and strategy. Additionally video footage will support players working towards studies and qualifications in sport, or including football as a skill for participation in the Duke of Edinburgh (DoFE)  award scheme.

The new season promises to be an exciting one and the club continues its vision to provide the very best for young women wanting to work towards a career in football.
