The following is the player and parent code of conduct agreed and signed before any player is admitted to the club.
Player Code of Conduct
As an Hartland Girls Academy player, I will…
- Be punctual for training and matches.
- Be prepared by showing up with correct kit, equipment and footwear.
- Always play and train at my best for the benefit of the team and teammates.
- Play fairly – I won’t cheat, dive, complain or waste time.
- Respect the facilities and equipment, both home and away.
- Offer my support and gratitude to the opposition – win or lose.
- Listen and respond to my coach’s instructions/decisions.
- Talk to someone at the academy who I trust if I am unhappy or worried about any of my team mates.
- Enjoy my football and adopt a positive outlook and approach to playing.
- Be mindful and respectful of how I talk about football activity and the academy on social media.
- RESPECT all on the pitch – team-mates, opposition, the officials and the team coaches.
- Help promote a safe, friendly environment in which every player can enjoy their football.
If I do not follow this code, I understand my actions may result in:
- Being asked to apologise for any behaviour not fitting in with the spirit of the sport of the club.
- Receive a formal warning from your manager or the club committee.
- Be substituted or suspected from training and or matches
- Contribute to any personal fines incurred.
- Be required to leave the club.
Parent Code of Conduct
As a parent/guardian associated with Hartland Girls Academy player, I agree to:
- Encourage my player to be punctual for all training sessions and matches.
- Ensure my player is prepared with the right kit, footwear and equipment.
- Keep up to date with club communications (Heja, emails).
- Keep the Club informed of any medical conditions/family situations so we can provide appropriate support.
- Be mindful and respectful of how I talk about football activity and the Club on social media or club communication apps (Heja).
- Applaud effort and good play as well as success.
- Respect the Referee’s decisions even when I don’t agree with them.
- Appreciate good play from whatever team it comes from.
- Remain behind the touchline and within the Designated Spectators’ Area.
- Let the coach do their job and don’t confuse the players by telling them what to do (buzz words such as press, drop, turn etc.)
- Encourage the players to respect the opposition, referee and match officials.
- Support positively and offer players encouragement not criticism.
- Never engage in, or tolerate offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour
- Be a positive role model for my player.
- Approach any conversations with coaches positively and constructively!
- Helpo promote a safe, friendly environment in which every player can enjoy their football.
I understand that if I and others associated with me do not folow the code, any/all the following actions may be taken:
- I may need to met with the club committee, league and/or any associated Club Welfare Officer (CWO) and or the county FA Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO) officials.
- I may need to pay any fines related to poor behaviour.
- At matches we reseve the right to as you to leave the venue.
In cases of serious breaches of the Code of Conduct, the club may request you to not attend future training and/or matche and be asekd to leave the club along with any dependents.
