Does my player need to be signed to play for the academy in the JPL, friendlies or pre-season competitions?
Yes, failure to sign and be registered with the club on both the FA and JPL systems means the player is not insured to play.
Can academy players play other sports?
Yes, we firmly believe that participation in a variety of youth sports is crucial for the physical, social, and emotional development of young athletes. Engaging in different sports not only enhances their physical fitness and coordination but also promotes teamwork, discipline, and resilience. Additionally, exposure to various sports helps young athletes develop a broader skill set, encourages social interaction, and fosters a lifelong love for physical activity. These experiences are invaluable in building well-rounded individuals who are prepared for diverse challenges both on and off the field.
Can my player play on a Sunday or for a representative team?
Yes, We offer something unique by encouraging our players to join a second team on Sundays. This provides a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the sport in a more relaxed environment while maintaining friendships and fostering a love for the game. Playing on Sundays can help enhance skills and offer a different perspective on the sport.
However, we do ask that you take your playtime seriously and communicate openly with us about any injuries or tiredness to prevent further damage or burnout. It’s important to prioritise your health and well-being to ensure you can continue playing at your best.
Additionally, we are very supportive of players joining representative teams, as it offers valuable experience and exposure. Nevertheless, please be aware that if matches for representative teams and our club clash on a Saturday, you will not be able to play both due to FA guidelines on daily playing times. This ensures that players are not overexerted and can perform optimally in each game.
